The things you want to do in your life, the person you want to be, the career you want to have, the lifestyle you want to live; you need to ask yourself what do I need to do to become that and then what can I actually do to become what I want to do.
Your dreams and ideas are yours and you should never give up on them but if you cannot do something it does not mean you should give up , it just means that you need to modify it to the point of what you actually can do because it is what you can do that will make your dreams or ideas come true.
We think on occasions “some constantly” of what could have been and the feeling of it’s too late to do anything about it but it is not true because it is never too late to do something about your dreams and ideas.
Anything can be done if people really want it but for many “through the choices they have made” have responsibilities, commitments, obligations to their partner-children-family and things of that nature. Then there is the conditions of life such as having a disability or medical conditions that limits your abilities or options, a lack of financial support, loss of friends, partner, connections-networks and the support that comes from that.
It does not mean you can’t do anything “don’t obsess on what you cannot do”. The point is to do what you can do so you actually begin to get things started, from that you can try many different things to see what works and what does not as it will give you a confidence boost.
From what you have learn in life and experiences in your daily life, from the people you have known and will meet, from your education and things of interest you have and learn about, from your work you have done all can be used to create a business or the person you want to be.
Test to see what works and what does not. When you put your ideas out there and start, you will learn what works and what does not. From what you have learnt you modify each attempt and keep modifying each attempt until it works out, it could take a few mouths or ten years. What is important is that you learn from your mistakes and failures to not repeat them and never give up.
The hardest thing is the initial start “the first actual step” such as getting rid of all the excuses and blame, getting out of the depression and feeling of hopelessness, accept reality of your life-situations-circumstance, your abilities and what you can actually do. From there you have a clear view of what you can do and how to use that to create something such as a business or a career or the lifestyle you want.
That can do turns into want to do because it gives you a realisation that you can actually do it and that creates confidence and the motivation to try more things to start something.
