Fred Stawitz, a national award-winning educator and writer, is recipient of the Leadership 500 Awards LEAD 2016 Circle of Winners and author of Don’t Run Naked Through The Office! He served as Training Manager for InterGen, a Shell/Bechtel joint energy venture, where he designed and implemented a technical training program, developed a skills-based training program for the United Space Alliance Ascent Flight Design Group, built desktop simulations for astronaut training, and led the development of online technical training and in house video production for El Paso Corporation. He is currently the Principal for Technical Training at Kinder Morgan and works in the area of regulatory compliance. He researches, writes, and speaks on the impact of the workplace environment on employee engagement and is currently working on his next book which will reveal the foundational processes necessary for building workplace environments that supports safe, productive, and sustainably profitable operations. He has chaired and spoken at numerous conferences in the areas of HSE, process safety, plant STOs, offshore operations, petrochemicals, refining, supply chain compliance, and mining as well as a variety of HR and talent management events both in the US and Canada. He has appeared on CNN Headline News – Local Edition in Southern California and in a PBS affiliate special in Pennsylvania. He has been the featured guest on several television news/talk shows, has been interviewed on nationally syndicated radio programs, and was quoted in a special Congressional Quarterly report.
