Marking the end of 2021 and welcoming the new energies of 2022 reminds me of the more significant shift between the old and new paradigms that we have all become aware of by now. I’m talking about, the shift between the mechanistic paradigm of command and control in leadership, linear processes, and archaic rules and regulations that have long outgrown humanity’s needs. Soulless focuses on productivity, efficiency, and profit at any cost. Here we talk about what your role might be in the evolving story of humanity.

The new paradigm

The new paradigm asks us to reconsider how we do things and why, and how we are being. It also asks us how we intend to replace the extraction and destruction that has been the effect of the mechanistic worldview with life-affirming and regenerative practices that honour the universal laws of nature and guide us to thrivability.

Even though we don’t have all the answers to these questions yet, we can choose to partake in the emergence and co-creation of the new story of humanity.

We all have a role to play wherever we are geographically and in our careers and lives in general.

Yes, YOU have a role to play.

Our roles in the new paradigm

Recently, I watched Michelle Holliday, the author of the book, “The Age of Thrivability,” in conversation with her good friend and colleague, Ben Wolfe, about The Two Loops Model created by Margaret Wheatley and Deborah Frieze at the Berkana Institute. See the video HERE.

I found the discussion illuminating and helpful in reminding me of the transition and power shifts humanity is moving through. It also clarified where I play in the loops and my evolving roles.
