Surround yourself with positive energy

We all have that negative friend who will find your Achilles heel again and again.  Why do you continue with that relationship?  Well, often it’s because of misplaced loyalty or a sense of duty.  There is nothing wrong with that unless it’s preventing you surround yourself with more positive people.

A client I had moved from the environment she had been brought up into a positive, uplifting and happy life.  Monthly she continued to meet up with people from those old days.  After a long period of time since her world experience had changed, she felt she no longer had anything in common with them. When I asked why she didn’t want to continue to meet them, she confessed she felt guilty.  She felt guilty she had a fantastic life and they had no part of that.  Her guilt about her good fortune was causing her to maintain relationships which no longer resonated with her. She needed to let go with love to be able to embrace her life which was filled with a new positive paradigm.

How to deal with people on a different wave-length

We all learn and grow, and our energy shifts as we do.  Although I do find myself complaining at times, it no longer feels good.  I always feel uncomfortable when I fall into that habit.  Because of this, I now feel uncomfortable around people who continue to complain.  Instead of judging those people, I realise they are reminders of ways I still have to learn.  This means I can choose to engage with them or without guilt, I can choose to move away and find others who are more positive and loving.

You really owe it to yourself to surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher.
