What Topics Do We Accept?

People Development Magazine is written for leaders, managers, HR professionals, business owners and anyone interested in personal growth and people development.

We accept articles covering:

  • Leadership
  • Human Resources
  • Team Building
  • Business and Entrepreneurship
  • Personal Growth
  • Talent Management

We are particularly interested in current, useful and thought-provoking articles about people development, workplace development and personal growth.

Articles should offer genuine value to the reader rather than being written primarily to promote a business, service or website.

Article Length

Articles should be between 800 and 2,000 words.

We are looking for well-developed articles which explore a subject properly while remaining clear, relevant and easy to read.

Getting Your Article Published

If you would like to publish an article with People Development Magazine, please send your proposed article to us by email.

Once we have taken an initial look, we will send you instructions explaining how to upload it.

All articles are published under a named author. We do not publish articles as sponsored posts from People Development Magazine, so you will need to provide your name and email address when creating your contributor account.

Once your article has been uploaded, we will review it before publication. This may include grammar, readability, formatting and SEO checks.

We may make minor changes to headings, formatting and keywords to improve readability, consistency and search visibility.

Please read the remainder of these guidelines before submitting your article.

Important Notes

We do not accept articles which link to essay-writing services, gambling, inappropriate financial services, adult websites or other websites we consider unsuitable for our audience.

We reserve the right to refuse articles containing links to websites or services which are not appropriate for People Development Magazine.

We do not participate in link exchanges.

Links included solely for SEO or backlink purposes may be removed.

We Only Accept Original Articles

Articles must be original and must not have been published elsewhere when submitted to People Development Magazine.

This helps us maintain the quality and originality of the magazine and avoids duplicate versions of the same article appearing across multiple websites.

After 30 days, authors may republish their article elsewhere, provided People Development Magazine is acknowledged as the original place of publication and a link to the original article is included.

If an article is subsequently duplicated elsewhere without acknowledgement or a link to the original publication, we reserve the right to remove it from the magazine.

How Long Will An Article Remain On The Site?

Our intention is for accepted articles to remain on People Development Magazine for as long as they continue to provide value to our readers.

For this reason, we strongly encourage contributors to submit evergreen content which will remain useful over time.

Articles may be reviewed or removed after 24 months where:

  • The content is no longer relevant to our audience.
  • The article attracts little or no readership.
  • The information has become outdated.
  • The article no longer meets the editorial direction or quality standards of the magazine.
  • External links are broken, inappropriate or no longer relevant.

Where appropriate, we may update, edit or relocate useful information before deciding to remove an article.

Contributors are responsible for informing us if a linked website or page changes location.

Please see our Terms and Conditions for further information about publication on People Development Magazine.

Writing Your Article

Articles should be written primarily for the reader.

They should be clear, useful and easy to follow, with meaningful headings and a logical structure.

Where appropriate, include practical examples, experience, research, observations or advice which help the reader understand or apply the subject.

Please avoid unnecessary repetition, excessive jargon and content which has clearly been created primarily to insert links.

Completing Your Author Profile

Every contributor should complete their author profile.

Your biography should be no more than 200 words and should briefly explain your background, experience and areas of expertise.

Please do not place website links within the body of your biography. There is a designated field within your author profile for your website.

Your author profile appears at the end of your published articles, so please make sure the information is accurate and up to date.

You can update your profile from the WordPress dashboard by selecting Profile.

Links In Your Profile

Contributors may include a no-follow link to their own website using the designated website field within the author profile.

We may request confirmation that you own or represent the website being linked to.

Links to websites or third-party URLs should not be inserted into the body of the author biography.

Links Within Articles

Any links included within an article must be approved by the People Development Magazine Management Team before publication.

Links should genuinely support the article and provide useful additional information for the reader. Contributors should not assume that submitted links will automatically be accepted.

We may refuse, remove or replace links which are:

  • Promotional rather than informational.
  • Unrelated to the article.
  • Added primarily for SEO or backlink purposes.
  • Repetitive or unnecessary.
  • Directed towards websites we consider unsuitable.
  • Broken or no longer active.

Approval of an article does not guarantee approval of any links submitted with it.

People Development Magazine also reserves the right to review and remove previously approved links if they later become irrelevant, unsuitable, broken or inconsistent with our editorial standards.

Images

We provide the featured image for each article using our own licensed image resources.

Except in specific circumstances, such as book reviews, we do not accept contributor-supplied featured images because of copyright and licensing requirements.

People Development Magazine reserves the right to select the most suitable image for each article.

Accuracy And Checking Your Article

Contributors are responsible for the accuracy of the content they submit.

Please check facts, names, dates, statistics, quotations, references and other factual information before submitting your article.

You should also proofread and spell-check your article before submission.

Although we carry out an editorial review, this should not be regarded as independent fact-checking. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy of their work.

People Development Magazine retains final editorial control over headlines, formatting, illustrations, links and placement.

Where necessary, contributors may also be asked to confirm that they own the copyright to submitted material and have the right to grant electronic publication rights.

Editorial Changes

We reserve the right to make reasonable editorial changes before publication.

These may include changes to:

  • Headlines and subheadings.
  • Grammar and punctuation.
  • Formatting.
  • Readability.
  • Internal links.
  • External links.
  • SEO titles and descriptions.
  • Keywords.
  • Images.

Where substantial changes would alter the meaning or argument of an article, we may contact the author before publication.

Terms And Conditions

All articles must comply with our Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to refuse or remove material which we consider inappropriate, inaccurate, misleading, overly promotional or inconsistent with the editorial direction of People Development Magazine.

By creating a contributor account and submitting an article, you agree to these Contributor Guidelines and our Terms and Conditions.
