Introduction
The Magazine was founded and owned by Christina Lattimer T/A People Development Magazine. It is a magazine specialising in sharing information about business in the Leadership, HR, and People Development fields.
We also include services for contributors in the field of People Management generally. Contributors who serve Leaders, Managers, HR Professionals, Business Owners and those interested in Personal Growth will generally be accepted, although we reserve the right to refuse contributions without explanation.
We aim to provide a specialised and unique platform for both contributors and industry clients to share and gain benefit from, by way of sharing services, products, events, books, articles and thought leadership.
In the following terms and conditions, the People Development Magazine is referred to as “The Magazine. The Magazine is hosted on https://peopledevelopmentmagazine.com.
We provide a range of services for people who are industry experts in the People Development field and PR Agencies representing those industry experts. We also collect subscription sign-ups from readers interested in aspects of our publication.
Authorised agents
The submitter of the information when contracting paid or unpaid services of The Magazine will be assigned the responsibility of the Authorised Agent of the individual or business.
The Authorised Agent must be over the age of 18. Profiles published in The Magazine must be authentic and provide links to Authorised Agent’s (or in the case of a PR Agency, their client’s) websites and/or social media accounts.
Owners of The Magazine accept no liability for any article made by unauthorised persons.
Authorised Agents, must provide a valid email address and all other information requested in the sign-up/purchasing process.
In signing up for membership of the Magazine, you are deemed to have read and accepted all the general provisions set out in the Magazine Membership Terms and Conditions and Small Print Conditions. You also agree to abide by the contributor guidelines.
Responsibilities of authorised agents
You agree that you are responsible for your submissions and postings and any consequences thereof. You agree when using The Magazine websites, social media forums books, articles, emails etc, only to publish, transmit, upload or distribute materials that are legal, proper, decent, honest and accurate.
You must abide by copyright laws at all times. The Magazine owner accepts no responsibility under the terms and conditions for copyright infringements caused by submission by the Authorised Agent.
The magazine only uses its stock images for which we have a licence. We will not publish third-party images in our publication.
Submitting content
In submitting amendments, changes or articles, you agree to keep your comments civil, tasteful and relevant. In particular, you further agree that submissions will be original and your work, not copied from anyone else, and not an impersonation unless categorically stated and accredited to the source.
By these terms and conditions, you agree not to post any literary, artistic, audio, video or data content to the Magazine apart from original works of a personal and non-commercial nature that have been created by you, or for which you have obtained the right to copy, distribute and post them from the author (or through the lapse of copyright).
Publishing images
We will provide licenced images from our stock.
Language and limitations on content
Submissions will be in the English language. They will be legal, proper, decent, honest and accurate. Be relevant to the business in question. Will not contain profanity, swearing, obscenities or any language likely to offend Will not contain threats, prejudice or hate speech. Will not be untrue, misleadingly incomplete, defamatory, inappropriate, indecent, obscene, offensive or malicious. Will not be unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful sexually or racially offensive, or restrict or inhibit any other user from using the Magazine. Will not be illegal, or encourage or incite people to commit any crime. Will not breach the confidence of or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others or infringe any patent, trademark, copyright, moral right, database right, trade secret or another proprietary right of any party. Will not contain viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programmes that may damage the Magazine website or the operation of another’s computer.
Will only contain websites and links which the business has authorised the use of.
The owners of the Magazine reserve the right at all times to disclose any information posted by Authorised Agents or other agents of the business as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. By these terms and conditions, The owners of the Magazine reserve the right to delete or modify any content at any time, for any reason and where appropriate will provide a full or proportionate refund.
If notified of content that allegedly does not conform to any of the above terms, The owners of the Magazine may investigate the allegation and determine in good faith and its sole discretion whether to remove or request the removal of the allegedly infringing content.
The owners of the Magazine accept no liability or responsibility for the performance or nonperformance of such investigation. The owners, of the Magazine, reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to any or all membership privileges at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.
The owners of the Magazine reserve the right to protect consumers from false, misleading or illegal reviews of businesses and make every effort to refer any breach of the laws relating to ‘falsely representing oneself as a consumer to governmental and policing bodies.
Any articles or promotions which do not meet the minimum criteria will not be published. We notify you if this is the case to give you the option to meet the minimum standards. If you do not wish to upload an amended article, listing or promotion, and you have paid a fee, we will not refund your fee but will consider mutually agreed amendments.
General Limitations
Acting with integrity
You also agree, by way of example and not as a limitation, that when using the Magazine Website, you will not:

- Impersonate another person or entity, or falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is Posted.
- Register for more than one account in your name.
- Collect email addresses or other contact information from the Website to send unsolicited emails or communications or for any commercial purposes.
- Use the personal details of other contributors or subscribers except to contact them in a manner that could reasonably be expected.
Disclaimer
The Magazine and its contents are offered in good faith. Reasonable efforts have been made to ensure the accuracy of the information and the Magazine does not accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in the details listed. Classified entries/bios of companies do not imply any form of recognition, recommendation or guarantee of the company or the products and services provided. Readers are advised to check any information offered in the magazine or profiles to their satisfaction before relying upon it.
Many of the benefits and services offered by the Magazine are sourced via 3rd party social media platforms and applications. The Magazine can operate subject to the rules and policies of those social media platforms and 3rd party applications. The Magazine accepts no responsibility for changes to services and applications made by these 3rd parties.
Sharing information on the website and across social media platforms
The Magazine will where appropriate publish and share information from contributors across our social media platform created by The Magazine. All we guarantee is the exposure that is within our social media network. We do not guarantee increased leads or sales by such exposure, simply because we have no control over the market demand, or quality of interest in your products, services, events, books, or advertising. The specific nature of the exposure is determined by the rules, practices, and accessibility of the social media sites and we can not control their actions, decisions or the availability of their services.
Published articles
Once an article or a link placement is accepted, we aim to allow the link to remain permanently, (website issues notwithstanding). You must submit evergreen articles which stand the test of time. Once an article is published in the magazine, we reserve the right to update the article to be more SEO friendly, to that end we constantly review the level of traction and the popularity of keywords and key phrases. However, the substance of the article will remain and any links will be as published. Articles that become outdated or stale will not stand the test of time. Articles may be deleted after 48 months if:
- The content is thin and not/no longer relevant to our audience
- Articles are not attracting readers
- Articles become stale or old news
In the circumstances where an article is a detriment to the magazine, in the first instance we will attempt to rewrite it. If this is not possible, we will attempt to relocate any link. However, if all efforts fail, then we reserve the right to delete the article. If a link returns a 404 error message, we will delete it. It is for you to keep us updated if link locations move.
We do not accept liability for any external or otherwise technical or hacking incidents which render the website unworkable. In such circumstances where we are not able to honour the time commitment, we will not be liable for our inability to do so. No refunds outside of the following refund policy will be available.
Cancellation and refund policy
Where an admin fee is payable, the following terms and conditions apply.
We reserve the right to cancel a free or paid service without having to provide a reason, although of course if problems arise we will do our utmost to resolve them.
Cancellation by The Magazine
We reserve the right to cancel any of our services within 14 days of signing up if our terms and conditions are violated. All material submitted will be removed. If a fee has been paid, we will issue a full refund within 14 days. If for any reason we need to cancel our contract between 14 days and 1 month, we will offer a 50% refund of fees. After 1 month, we do not offer a refund. For any paid events, we will issue a full refund before your event is shared. Once shared, you will not receive a refund. If any article submitted does not pass the review of the article, and the authorised agent is unable to amend it, where and if a payment has been made, we will issue a full refund.
Cancellation by an authorised agent
A full refund will be given if any payment has been made for an article or advertisement and it is withdrawn before review and publication. If an advertisement, article or event is withdrawn after review and publication, no refund is due.
